The building that houses the Baena Olive Grove and Olive Oil Museum was, until 1959, the mill of Don José Alcalá Santaella. Most of the mill's machinery dates from the mid-19th century. Each olive harvest season, a team of three millers worked at this mill, processing two to three thousand kilos of olives daily from the groves located in the Chitajillo and Vela areas. The museum has over 800 square meters of exhibition space spread over two floors. On the ground floor, there is a reception area and a multipurpose room, all arranged around a complete mill. This mill features a millstone with two large, truncated conical stones mounted high above the ground, a thermomixer, a hydraulic press with its wagon from the La Cordobesa Foundry, and a four-piston hydraulic pump—all perfectly restored and in working order. This floor also includes a cellar with large metal tanks and another room dedicated to the history and evolution of olive cultivation in Baena. On the upper floor, in addition to the library and the olive oil workshop, several exhibition spaces showcase the use of olive oil as a source of light and heat, electricity, its culinary uses and dietary benefits, the symbolic importance of the olive tree, proverbs, folk medicine, and more. Here, visitors can explore a collection of over three thousand olive oil labels and, to conclude their visit, enjoy the pleasant aroma of oils from the Baena Designation of Origin. The aim of this municipal museum is to collect and promote the most significant aspects of olive oil and olive grove culture. It is an educational environment where visitors can have an immersive experience, engaging all five senses, allowing them to explore and delve deeper into this ancient culture, combining knowledge sharing with hands-on activities and the promotion of healthy practices. The Museum is housed in the so-called Casa de la Tercia, located in the heart of the town's historic center. This building, constructed between 1792 and 1795, served as a grain and seed warehouse and an olive oil cellar. It was intended to collect the portion of ecclesiastical tithes and other revenues belonging to the Crown. In 1841, the definitive abolition of these payments to the Church, following the Mendizábal Disentailment, rendered the building obsolete, and it passed into private ownership. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was adapted and used as an inn, and during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), it served as a prison. From 1960, the City Council leased the property until 1984, when it was incorporated into the municipal heritage and underwent significant renovations. It is located at Calle Santo Domingo de Henares, 5, near the Town Hall. The Museum was inaugurated in 1999 and is housed on the first floor. By Order dated February 7, 2000, the creation and registration of the Baena Historical Museum (Córdoba) in the Register of Museums of Andalusia was agreed upon (BOJA No. 35, of March 23, 2000). During 2010, the building underwent a major renovation to house the Museum, and it was reopened in February 2011. Its holdings include important archaeological collections, most of which come from excavations carried out in the Torreparedones Archaeological Park, among which the votive offerings from the sanctuary and the Roman sculptures from the Roman forum are particularly noteworthy.

Baena Castle, also known as the Arab Castle of Baena, is a fortress located at the highest point of the municipality of Baena, in the province of Córdoba, Spain. It has been protected as a Site of Cultural Interest (Bien de Interés Cultural) and Monument since 1985. The first references to Baena Castle are found in the writings of Muslim historians from the late 9th century, during the revolts of the rebel Omar ibn Hafsún against the Emirate of Córdoba. When the troops of Ferdinand III of Castile, known as Saint Ferdinand, took possession of Baena in 1241, the castle became one of the most important fortresses in the southern part of the Kingdom of Córdoba and also one of the most significant outposts on the border between Córdoba and the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. A chapel dedicated to Saint Bartholomew was built on the site of the former Islamic mosque. The Castilian Crown retained ownership of the fortress until 1386, when King John I of Castile granted the town to Diego Fernández de Córdoba, placing the castle under the jurisdiction of the House of Córdoba and later the branch of the House of Cabra. Following the end of the Granada War, it lost its strategic importance and became one of the principal residences of the counts. In 1566, Philip II granted the title of Duke of Baena to the 5th Count of Cabra, Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba. The structure remained almost intact until 1879, when the noble family sold the fortress, which then began to be used as a quarry. Several buildings were erected within its grounds, and a horseshoe arch was demolished in the mid-20th century. Its parade ground was used as a water reservoir between 1927 and 1959, causing significant historical damage. Since then it has been in a ruined state, some authors even categorically stated that from the remains that have survived "it is still possible to get an idea of its size and the importance it must have had."

It's also the birthplace of internationally renowned artist Sake Leneka. Some of the murals on display have garnered significant national and international media attention and have sparked social movements, such as the "Adopt" project. This project originated from a 2018 mural by the artist depicting a greyhound, promoting the adoption of animals, particularly dogs. Other works have been selected and ranked among the best in the world, such as "Neighborhood Light," considered the fourth best in the world in January 2021 by "Street Art Cities." The app offers two ways to visit all the murals: via a route marked on the map, which, if completed, would take you through the entire municipality in about two hours, or through a photo gallery. In both cases, a description of each mural is provided.
